Up at 5.15 for my first game drive in the Maasai Mara. We couldn’t have had a better start – a pride of about a dozen lions were stalking a group of zebras, and they walked right round our truck, (one of them sniffed the back of the truck – Katie’s socks were hanging out to dry). We couldn’t believe our luck – it was like something on a wildlife documentary. We our first elephants, wildebeest, hartebeest, topirs and corrie bustards. We had a walk along the bank of the Mara River, (an armed guard came with us), and we saw crocodiles and hippos.
Sorry that we have not being keeping up to date with the diaries and images, but we have been out ‘in the bush’ for some time now.
